THe pedal has also been quite spongey and requires a fairly-long push under hard braking - this is with the standard MC and high-ratio pedal (I think - I understand these were standard-fitment on Academy cars...)

I'm not unconvinced that the pedal gets spongier with heavy useage too - but this might be something to do with the bedding-in as well...(?)

The piston-area is not too-far different from the JW Alcons - and *these* are designed for the standard MC and rear brakes, AFAIK.

It has been suggested that as the rears are still receiving the same amount of fluid - but the fronts have a larger area - the rears will *not* be balanced and I'm not actually going to get to the point of really using the fronts without the rears locking up...

Ben en fait, il se plaint du freinage desequilibre. L AR bloque avant l AV ... il pensait qu il s agissait d un pb de rodage, mais ca ne s ameliore pas des tonnes.

Le gars avait egalement remplace les disques, ce qui me parait reglo dans ce cas.

Comme je suis demandé j'arrive. En ce qui concerne les HiSpec faut être vraiment blaireau pour pas résussir à les monter. 15mn par roue pas plus avec les rondelles d'environ 3mm pour permettre le centrage du disque par rapport à l'étrier (jen ai en stock, prix unitaire 200€ <!--emo&-->[img]http://www.forum-autoroule.com/html/emoticons/vert.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='vert.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&-->[img]http://www.forum-autoroule.com/html/emoticons/vert.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='vert.gif' /><!--endemo--> ). je pourrai vous donner les dimensions pile poil si quelqu'un le souhaite. J'ai conservé les disques, le maitre cylindre etc d'origine. Plaquettes Green Stuff.
A l'usage je sens que ça freine mieux mais les plaquettes ne sont pas rodées vraiment. J'ai quand même constaté qu'en appuyant franchement ça mord bcp mieux et je m'arrête plutot + court. Je ne serai pas affirmatif car pas assez de km. Je ne ressens pas de déséquilibre avec l'arrière, je ne suis pas allé jusqu'au blocage non plus.
En résumé et pour le moment je suis plutot satisfait. Je roule peu en ce moment vu le temps de merde en normandie. Je vous tiens au courant pour la suite.

Ouaip, je suis interesse par ton retour d experience. C est souvent ou l on doit "decoder" ce qui se raconte sur les differents sites ... Ca me rappelle lorsque j avais des soucis sur mon moteur, bcp d idees, de remarques, d hypotheses parmi lesquelles il faut se faire son opinion et prendre la bonne decision.
